Emergency management at VŠE
-
The majority of our population has suppressed, underdeveloped or dulled senses to unexpected situations with potentially fatal consequences. We are neither prepared nor do we expect them. We are not on perpetual alert and ready as in the past. We rely on someone to protect us - the police, the army.....
This course aims not to give you information on what precautions to take but to introduce some general principles on how to respond to a security threat and how to behave during such an incident.
Get prepared!

VŠE has a nonstop crisis information line for employees and students:
224 09 5555
Report any observed abnormalities to this line immediately, which may be:
- suspicious and dangerous persons moving in buildings of VŠE,
- suspicious (potentially dangerous) abandoned objects on the premises of VŠE,
- fire on the premises of VŠE,
- any other situation that you assess as a security threat.
This line is not primarily used to report technical problems in classrooms or offices. For these purposes, dial the Emergency Technical Support Line 224 09 8999.
You can also find important contacts at the central website sos.vse.cz, the purpose of which is to warn of any current threat and to provide instructions on how to proceed.
This training is mandatory, and its completion will be required. To complete the training, you must:1) view all the training content,
2) complete the test (with no required minimum of points) and
3) download the certificate that becomes available after meeting the previous requirements.
Let's begin with an instructional video prepared by the Police of the Czech Republic, focused on how to behave during an active shooter attack. This is one of the most serious emergency situation, as sadly confirmed by the events at the end of 2023.
